P2 machine launched

The P2 machine uses mixed waste - usually destined for land fill - to produce mechanically stable panels and products.

Companies can send their own waste to be recycled into useful products such as hoardings, shuttering panels, partition walls, transport trolleys and even armoured panels. They can reduce their carbon footprint, re-using their own waste materials.

Protomax Plastics Ltd

Since March 2007 Trading Edge has become part of Protomax Plastics Ltd. The Trading Edge brand will continue to service the extrusion and pet food ranges.

With the development of Protomax we have opened a prototyping facility in Wales. This will enable clients to test rotationally moulded products at a fraction of the cost.

The Amoeba range of watersports products and a new range of exclusive garden products are manufactured at this site.

from its early days as an agent for stock shapes, trading edge has become a respected supplier of downstream extrusion lines and annealing equipment. Our emphasis on automation and rapid tool changes makes our products second to none.As our materials know how was sought after our value as high tech materials consultants spread...and yes, we were also surprised at our success, but it meant that we had hit on something right.

We looked at the technical difficulties of our clients in a novel manner. The extrusion machinery was developed with sales and distribution in mind rather than production.
The resulting fantastic output was beyond even our expectations!

Following this success snowballed and our customers have been the catalyst in our development by requiring us to design, solve and develop. This lead to our breakthrough with protomax, and the establishment of our own brand of sport products amoeba. Each member of the trading edge team is essential to the synergy as a group but without YOU (our customers) and your enquiries, we would not be here.
